WordPress is slow!

It took me around 2 days to figure out how to speed up one of my client’s websites from 16s (!) to 1.5 s loading time. Usually the W3 Total Cache works for all WordPress installations, but with this setup (latest WP + around 7 plugins hosted with Strato) it just didn’t want to work! Now the combination of PHP Speedy and WP Super Cache solved it.
