WPML and Event Calendar Plugin
Almost ran aground with a very messy website I’ve been working on for the last 5 days. It is trilingual and has the (great) event calendar plugin running. WordPress is slow!
It took me around 2 days to figure out how to speed up one of my client’s websites from 16s (!) to 1.5 s loading time. Usually the W3 Total Cache works for all WordPress installations, but with this setup (latest WP + around 7 plugins hosted with Strato) it just didn’t want to work!
